XDA Thread, Kabar gembira datang bagi para pengguna ponsel Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 diseluruh penjuru dunia, Dev muda Adithya yang baru berusia 18 tahun asal India, merilis hasil build Android 11 untuk Ginkgo dan Willow.
Hal ini cukup mencengangkan karena banyak pengguna dan pengamat device ini, yang tidak menduga Android R akan hadir secepat ini.
Beda Rom Build Vanilla dan Gapps Build
FYI: ROM ini merupakan Vanilla build, apa itu Vanilla build? Hasil build ROM yang tidak menyertakan aplikasi-aplikasi pihak ketiga dari Google alias tanpa GApps. Sementara GApps build adalah kebalikannya.
Vanilla Build vs GApps build?
Perbedaan mendasar tentunya adalah ukuran rom, selisih keduanya bisa sampai 100 MB lebih, mengingat ukuran GApps core (pico) terkecil saja sudah lebih dari 100 MB, selain itu performa Vanilla build yang tanpa aplikasi google akan jauh lebih smooth.

What is AOSP?
AOSP (Android Open Source Project) is Android just as Google publishes, without any other modifications or additions. More or less AOSP is the Pixel devices stock ROM without gapps and proprietary additions.
I have also tweaked the default UI to look a bit more pleasing to the eye, inspired from Pixels, and also added inbuilt theming support for those who feel Vanilla AOSP UI is just way too bland. Check out the screenshots to know more!
