Redgapps merupakan paket flashable zip dari gapps yang dikembangkan oleh whyredFire. Sesuai namanya gapps, berarti berisikan aplikasi-aplikasi dan komponen pendukung aplikasi Google.

Jika pada system operasi bawaan pabrikan vendor telah menyediakan gapps, beda halnya jika kita menggunakan Rom pihak ketiga khususnya Vanilla build.

Bagi para pengguna Custom Rom ini, paket open gapps seperti pico, small, dan lainnya tentu sudah akrab.

Nah Redgapps ini juga memiliki beberapa paket yang berbeda, diantaranya Core - Slim - Decent - Elegant - Overkill.

Satu jenis paket yang tidak terdapat pada tabel di atas adalah versi Core.

Versi Core dari Redgapps sesuai namanya merupakan paket gapps yang hanya berisikan inti dari gapps.

Jika semua versi Redgapps selain core akan menggantikan aplikasi aosp yang terdapat di ponsel kita, seperti dialer, contacts, dll.

Maka jika kita menggunakan versi Core maka tidak akan menggantikan aplikasi bawaan rom aosp.

Dengan kata lain Redgapps core ini bisa dibilang merupakan paket gapps terkecil, tersimpel, teringan, yang pernah ada.

- Reboot to recovery
- Wipe everything
- Flash rom
- Flash RedGapps
- Reboot. Done!
